From day one, Ronald McDonald House Charities Norfolk has focused on caring for families so they can care for their hospitalized children. This year, Ronald McDonald House Charities Norfolk will join with Chapters from around the world to celebrate 50 years of the Ronald McDonald House Charities House Program. Norfolk House joined this incredible system in 1981 and became the 32nd House in the US. We are so proud to be part of a global organization that is celebrating 50 years of care, compassion, and support for families along their healthcare journey! To raise awareness of the 50th Anniversary of Ronald McDonald House Program, Ronald McDonald House Charities Norfolk is organizing a Family Fun Day at the Virginia Zoo. As part of the event, Norfolk House plans to invite up to 750 individuals to visit the Zoo on the same day. Additionally, we aim to promote awareness of the Norfolk House mission, recruit individual donors, and enlist new volunteers.
